HRIS Specialist, Shared Services

Ronco Communications & Specialized Systems is seeking an HRIS Specialist to administer the HRIS/Payroll System daily and serve as the System Super User. In this role, the HRIS Specialist will coordinate operations and act as a liaison with HR and all departments to oversee the continuous processing, handling, and storage of human resources data.

 

​ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO

 

  • Set up, maintain and troubleshoot system issues related to Human Resources Data in the HRIS/Payroll System and ERP
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employment and benefit information in the HRIS system by processing all status changes, salary changes, garnishments, leaves of absence, terminations and withholding requests immediately upon notification
  • Work closely with A/P to ensure payroll accuracy and review the journal prior to processing and address issues prior to weekly payroll submission
  • Serve as the go-to person in HR for payroll related issues and serve as the primary communicator to all employees about check related issues
  • Work with supervision to establish and maintain schedules for non-exempt employees and ensure accurate time and attendance record keeping that meets federal, state and company requirements
  • Monitor time and attendance with respect to federal, state and company requirements and work with supervision on issues and discrepancies escalating issues when appropriate
  • Train and assist supervisors and system end users about how to use the system and access information
  • Set up and maintain accurate PTO information
  • Work closely with accounting, operations, and sales to ensure prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements are met
  • Coordinate ACA reporting with the HR Team and ensure submission accuracy
  • Stay current with local, state and Federal HR laws, legislation, and trends, and maintain compliance

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with a Focus in Business, IT or Human Resources
  • 3 years’ experience utilizing all facets of a comprehensive HRIS/ Payroll Processing Software with a strong preference for the Paychex Suite – Preview, HRO, and TLO or Flex Pay
  • Superior proficiency using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be detail oriented and work well under pressure
  • Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Proven ability to identify and solve complex problems involving systems, policies, and people
  • Thorough working knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws related to payroll and human resources record keeping
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and work well independently
