Prince William County Government (PWC), has been a legacy Nortel customer that standardized on Juniper products back in 2011 with Ronco. The bulk of their Core and Distribution layer devices initially installed are now obsolete, as well as, the access closets consisting of End-Of-Sale Avaya devices. PWC had little to no experience using or configuring the Juniper products. The transition to all new Juniper products presented a major change in the overall network configuration and maintenance work flow.
Ronco migrated PWC to Juniper's most recent switches for their access, core and distribution layers. Also provided the customer with a Project Manager as a single point of contact for all their Juniper product needs. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing pricing, order, delivery, inventory and billing for all Juniper products, maintenance contracts and services. Ronco provided an on-site engineering resource with 24x7 accessibility for this project. The on-site Ronco engineer served as a dedicated resource to assist the customer with multi-platform integration, maintenance, upgrades, installation and troubleshooting. The on-site Ronco Engineer also provides 2nd level support for PWC’s entire multi-vendor environment including a high capacity backbone through ADVA Optical, Cisco VPN appliances and Avaya Wireless infrastructure.
