Overview

This policy explains what information we collect when you use Ronco Communications' sites which include info.ronco.net, blog.ronco.net, and ronco.net, services, products, and content herein referred to as “site(s).” It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. Our aim at Ronco Communications (Ronco) is not just to comply with privacy law. It’s to earn your trust.

 

Trademarks

The trademarks, service marks, and logos (“Marks”) displayed on this site are the property of RONCO C&E Inc. or are used with the permission of the appropriate third party. Users are not permitted to use these Marks without the prior written consent of RONCO C&E Inc. or such third party that may own the Mark.

 

Information We Collect & How We Use It

To give you the best possible experience using Ronco, we collect information from your interactions with our network. Some of this information, you actively tell us through forms (such as your email address, which we use to communicate with you). Other information, we collect based on actions you take while using ronco.net, such as what pages you access. This information includes records of those interactions, your Internet Protocol address, information about your device (such as device or browser type), and referral information.

 

We use this information to:

  • provide, test, improve, promote and personalize Ronco fight spam and other forms of abuse
  • generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how people use ronco.net

 

Information Disclosure

Ronco won’t transfer information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We will not sell information about you.

 

We may share your information with third parties in some circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; (2) to a service provider or partner who meets our data protection standards; (3) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process; (4) when we have a good faith belief that doing so will help prevent imminent harm to someone.

 

If we are going to share your information in response to legal process, we’ll give you notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited by law or believe doing so may endanger others. We will object to requests for information about users of our services that we believe are improper.

 

Data Storage

Ronco uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Wufoo, Adobe, or HubSpot, for software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run ronco.net. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs. By visiting ronco.net, you authorize Ronco to transfer, store, and use your information in the United States and any other country where we operate.

 

Third-Party Embeds

Some of the content that you see displayed on ronco.net is not hosted by Ronco. These “embeds” are hosted by a third-party and embedded on ronco.net. For example YouTube or Vimeo videos, Imgur or Giphy gifs, feedwind RSS feeder, Twitter tweets, Muse-themes code, or Google Maps that appear within a ronco.net and other subdomains. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a Ronco post page with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity). Ronco does not control what data third parties collect in cases like this, or what they will do with it. So, third-party embeds on ronco.net are not covered by this privacy policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.

 

Tracking & Cookies

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying the settings in your browser, as well as delete any cookies that have been installed in the cookie folder of your browser. However, you may not be able to use all the interactive features of our site if cookies are disabled/deleted. If you do not know how to disable or delete cookies from the browser you are using, you should select ‘cookies’ in the Help function of your browser to get more information.

 

Ronco doesn’t track you across the Internet. We track only your interactions within our sites.

 

Some third-party services that we use, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Ronco only and not the use of cookies by third parties.

 

Ronco complies with the “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium. For logged-out users browsing with DNT enabled, Ronco's analytics will not receive data about you, but we will do some first-party tracking in order to customize content and provide requested services. When you visit Ronco as an identified returning visitor, we cannot comply with DNT.

 

Data Security

We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security.

 

Notice and Ability to Opt-Out

When personal information is collected, we typically inform the individual at the point of collection or upon our first communication to the individual the purpose for the collection and where appropriate, allow the individual to elect whether to provide the information to Ronco and/ or specify how we can use such personal information.

 

Ronco provides individuals who elect to receive electronic or other communications the ability to “opt-out” of those communications by sending us a notice to unsubscribe. Ronco respects your wishes and will discontinue communicating with individuals who have requested not to receive email or other communications from Ronco. This means we assume an individual has given us consent to collect and use his/her personal information in accordance with this Policy unless the individual has taken affirmative action to indicate that he/she does not consent, for instance by clicking or checking the appropriate option or box at the point of collection. In some cases, when applicable, Ronco will provide an individual with the opportunity to “opt-in.” This means that we will require affirmative action from the individual to indicate his/her consent before we use personal information for purposes other than the purpose for which the personal information was submitted.
